Simple
You have to apply for PIP (AKA Personal Independence Payment - a main adult disability benefit). DLA stops at 16. PIP applications are done by the Department for Work and Pensions (AKA DWP) who should write out to ask you about applying for PIP. Not all kids who get DLA get PIP as the criteria are different.
