Pip Rogers (mother of a SEND child) explains what Support SEND Kids means to her.
“I’m currently 8 months away from a tribunal hearing for an EHCP for my 8 year old daughter. The No-nonsense Guides have been such a help. I love how they are written in a question and answer format. The search facility means you can look for specifics, every EHCP is unique and this enables you to search in depth, for information that supports your pathway. The glossary at the beginning is the perfect jargon buster for parents like me, who find many of the legal acronyms daunting.
The members page is so helpful, being able to see everyone on the site, it makes you feel less alone on your journey and also opens a link to legal professionals who you have the option to reach out to.
I’m very grateful to all the barristers who give answers and the whole Support SEND Kids team for taking the time to build the charity and make legal knowledge accessible. Thank you for making what feels like such a difficult part of parenting that bit easier.
Thank you to you all for everything you do, SEND parenting is something no one anticipates and you truly are doing such a wonderful thing to support parents.”
